• There is sometimes a problem with maintaining the RelayTo file for check_rcpt. If you use my HACKs, you can apply one of these patches:
  1. Jim Bacon sent me a version of check_rcpt which uses a patch from Miquel van Smoorenburg to find out for which machines your mailserver is secondary MX and therefore should allow relaying.
  2. Ask Mitchell Blank Jr for a patch to sendmail to provide a new map type which can check whether your host is in the list of MX servers for a given name.
  This is already part of sendmail 8.9 and can be activated with FEATURE(relay_based_on_MX).
